Leuphana University Lüneburg

Leuphana University Lüneburg, located south of Hamburg, is a modern campus university. It offers a unique and award-winning study and university model that is unparalleled in Germany, with a college for undergraduate studies, a graduate school with interlinked master’s and doctoral programs, and a professional school for continuing professional education.

Supported by a foundation, it sees itself as a public university for freedom and responsibility. Five faculties shape its range of subjects: education, cultural studies, management & technology, sustainability and state studies. Questions around climate change, globalization, new work and organizational models, digital media or big data are high on Leuphana’s research agenda.

Some 9,500 young people study at Leuphana. Of the nearly 1,100 Leuphana employees, around 600 are scientists, including 150 professors.
